The Moment Has Arrived...

Well, the moment has arrived.

On Monday, the IB exams officially begin for the Class of 2025!

So my message this week is really simple:

Congratulations. Good luck. You’ve made it.

If you’re a student, study up. And then—most importantly—take a moment to breathe.

Find a quiet place. Calm your mind. Walk into that exam room steady, centered, and confident in the work you’ve done.

And if you’re a teacher—well, you know this feeling.

It’s personal. It’s exciting. It’s a little nerve-wracking.

But when your students walk through that door for Paper 1, Paper 2, or Paper 3, all there is left to do is smile.

And know in your heart that you’ve done everything you possibly could to prepare them for this.

I’ve always loved that moment. Because the second the students open their exams, they actually get to see what’s on the paper before we do.

There’s something kind of beautiful about that.

A little bit of poetic justice from the IB—the kids get the inside scoop first.

So whether you’re heading into this as a student or guiding from the sidelines as a teacher, I hope you take a moment this weekend to reflect.

This journey is long, but it’s meaningful.

And now, here you are.

Wishing you peace, clarity, and a bit of rest in the days ahead.
